ich hatte das als Unit in meinem Englisch-Buch
is ganz interessant, da gehts halt um so ne Brass-Band die für die leute in den minen spielt, aber die mine soll geschlossen werden und besagte band spielt halt ein letztes mal für die. später nimmt die band an einem wettbewerb für blechbläser-bands (brass-bands) teil, aber der 'chef' der band liegt im krankenhaus, flieht sozusagen jedoch und bekommt grade noch so mit, wie seine band spielt und nimmt den preis entgegen da die band gewinnt. weiteres wird nich verraten, selba lesen würd ich sagen...
hier ma n auszug aus unserm buch:
"In 1996 film director Mark Herman made a film about one of these bands (brass-bands).
Brassed Off is set in the imaginary Yorkshire village of Grimley in 1992 and tells two stories: one of the village's pit, which is going to be closed, the other of the pit's band and the national competition they are taking part in, which finishes at the Albert Hall of London."
